Share your story - Education for Health and well-being

UNESCO supports Education on Health and well-being via the implementation of Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) that aims to equip children and young people with knowledge, skills, attitudes and values that will empower them to realize their health, well-being and dignity; develop respectful relationships and understand and ensure the protection of their rights throughout their lives. Comprehensive Sexuality Education prevents violence, gender-based violence, bullying, gender inequality, early and unintended pregnancies, HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

Education on Health and well-being also include school health and nutrition programmes through skills-based school curricula and extra-curricular activities. The goal is to provide schools with a physical and socio-emotional environment that is safe, inclusive, and conducive to health, well-being and learning for students.
